Sentence– The excerpt from the book “Robinson Crusoe” which is given in our textbook Marigold, does not clarify who the mysterious footprint belonged to, so I ended up reading the whole book.

One use I can think of is that it gives the reader an idea of what the book is about. That is why some people read the summary at the back of the book and an excerpt from the book before purchasing it.
This reminds me, holidays are a great time to catch up on reading. There is no better way to learn a language. And frankly, it is simply fun!
