So last Monday I had the children of my club (Literary Club) write down some good idioms and phrases related to food. To my pleasant surprise they already knew quite a few. We added some of those and a couple of new ones to come up with a list of 15 idioms with which we wrote idiom stories.
The interesting thing is they were told to add humour to their stories by using the idioms in two ways- one the literal way and the other using the idiom’s actual meaning. To get a better idea of this click here.
We also decided we will use characters that are food related to make it even more hilarious.
A child in my club, Trisha had made an excellent story using this idea. Why don’t all of you also try this?
Happy writing!
