Still Think Punctuation Isn’t Important?

Funny right? or Funny, right?

Did you get the difference between my first two sentences?

The first sentence “Funny right?” means that the right side is funny, whereas the second sentence “Funny, right?” simply means that I am asking for an affirmation from you that these pictures are funny.

By the way, even the meaning of my title changes if I add a comma. Take a look:

Still, think punctuation isn’t important?

This statement means that I am insisting that in spite of that you THINK that punctuation isn’t so important.

Isn’t Punctuation just too important? It can change the entire meaning of a sentence.

Now, do you see what’s wrong with the pictures above? Do you still think commas aren’t important? Where should the commas have been added?

  1. Dear ma’am Tarana
According to me the punctuation marks should be given to the sentences like this :
    1) Time to eat , children!
    2) Tables are only for eating, customers only .
    3) We are going to cut and paste, children!
    Thanks ma’am

  6. Ma’am
I think that punctuation is important because in the first picture, the sentence means that the lady is about to eat the chirldren, in the second picture’s sentence, it means that the tables eat only customers, and in the third picture, the sentence means that the speaker will learn how to cut and paste kids. It totally changes the meaning of the sentence. That is why I think punctuations are important and I did find the above picture funny.
