There are many things that can be eradicated– poverty, diseases, insects, pests, negativity and many other things. But remember, things that you say you will eradicate, you will destroy or uproot completely. (Let’s see who can guess the meaning of ‘uproot’ using their contextual clues.)

    My sentence – Ram tried to eradicate the habit of watching television and succeeded.
    Synonym – remove completely
    Meaning of uproot – to pull up a plant by it’s roots.

    Today’s word(eradicate)is very new to me.Now I will surely try to use it.During this summer break I am trying to eradicate my habit of being lazy.According to me,the meaning of uproot is to pull out something from its roots.I found the meaning,by breaking the word.Also,thank you Bhuvi for such a new and useful word
