The North Wind and the Sun

A fable is a short story that teaches a lesson or has a moral. The main characters in fables may be animals, legendary creatures and people.

Aesop was a Greek fabulist and storyteller who wrote many fables. His fables are collectively known as “Aesop’s Fables”.

Here is one of his fables for you. It’s called “The North Wind and the Sun”.

Questions to ponder over:How was the north wind different from the sun?If you were given a choice to be any one of the characters in the story, who would you pick and why? Does this story remind you of anything you have read, watched or seen happening?
You can read other fables as well and share their names in the comments as suggestions for others to read.

Have a great day!Keep learning! Keep growing!

  1. Dear ma’am Tarana,
First of all, thank you for this wonderful story….. The answer to question no. 1 is-
The North wind was different from the sun as the North wind was very cold, but the sun shone brightly and was very warm. Answer no. 2 – The character I would choose would be the sun as it taught the North wind a lesson….. I have watched the same and also loved to watch it again.
    Thanks & Regards
